I stayed hidden behind the counter as I watched Olive leave. This was going to be good.

I sigh, and ride over to Dev, looking around; I didn't see any fallen that would bust us. Boo. I say to him, my face lighting up seeing him.

We sure aren't normal. I reply seriously.

"You're all hanging out in a candle shop," I point out. "I can already tell you're not normal. This isn't exactly my first choice for a hang out," I comment.

I laugh weakly. Yeah. I don't know what brought us here, but it totally blew our; "we are just normal teens" disguise. I snort.

"Do you guys know him" I ask them walking away from the giant and looking at the boy that was talking to the other girl.

"Hey," I say, still a little wary that someone was watching. "No one followed you here?" I allow myself a small smile as I look at her. "We are freaks, aren't we," I say as a statement, not a question. Then I lower my voice. "The Romeo and Juliet of the modern day world."

No, not yet. I tell Lexus. But he's ya know... friendly. I say trying to tell them he was one of us with out the other shoppers looking at us funnier than they already were.

No. I dumped them. I tell him, pulling out a chair, and sitting across from him. The Romeo and Juliet that wont kill themselves. I add on to his playfull statment about our relationship.

Romeo and Juliet! Diggs and this Dev kid were in love? Oh boy oh boy oh boy! Do I tell the others? Do I keep the knowledge to myself? I calmed the questions spinning in my head and sat still and listened.

I lean forward on my elbows, and smirk at him. I had no idea that there was someone watching. Normally I would have sensed it, but with him right there it was hard to feel anything but happiness. So, what have you been up to? I ask wanting to know all about him and his life.

"Just trust your friend here. I belong in your 'club'," I say with air quotes on the last word. It might not have been subtle, but it had to of gotten the message across.

'Honey" I say trying to make my voice sweet and nice "does anything ever happen to you that you don't quite know about It's okay you can tell me anything" I say still with the motherly charm " Our club is for unnormal people" I decide to stop there because I didn't want to drop the big bomb on her till a little later.

My expression sours for a second, but I hide it with a smile. "Just hanging out with my relatives," I say. "But whatever about me. Tell me about you."

I choke down a giggle. How girly would that sound?! But wait, didn't guys love that? Houston, we have a problem! Mate-ay mate-ay, we are taking a crash landing! Did he want me to be girly? Um. I've been...working? I say as a question more than a statement, still concerned with the new problem that had arisen in my concious.

Yeah, and now you are too. I tell her quickly. Let's go to that shoe store. I say thinking that it was about time we high-tailed it out of there, too many suspicious looks.

}well, Missy I don't understand the whole "girly" thing but okay?

"Get off the scooter!" A voice blares. "I repeat, get off the scooter, young lady!" I jump off the scooter, roll a few feet, and then hop up and run. I hear the mall cop screaming into his radio for backup behind me. I dodge into the first store I see, run behind a display rack, and wait. Only a moment later the same cop runs by, still screaming. "She has blue hair, about fifteen years of age, should be easy to spot." Then I notice what store I am in. A makeup, shampoo, girly shop. Eww. But then I get an idea. They'll never recognize me if I look like I am twenty one. I head to the makeup samples, but when I get there I am at a loss on what to do. I stick a finger experimentally into a container of blue sparkly stuff and rub it on my cheek. "Excuse me," a sales lady says, raising her penciled brows. "That's eye shadow. You've never worn makeup, have you." Before I can protest she attacks me with eye shadow and blush, eyeliner, mascara, and lipstick. "One last thing." she shakes her head at my hair and finds some blond hair dye. I protest, but she assures me it will wash out tomorrow. Once she gets busy with another customer, I duck out of the store and look at my reflection. I am shocked to see that I look like....well a popular kid. If any of my jock friends saw me I would be horrified. But it pays off, because a mall cop hurries by, winking at me flirtatiously. I am disgusted, but atleast it worked.

I hear a loud and obnoxious voice echo through the store, and look at my scooter. Um. I get up real fast, and push it through the doors in one of the many resturants. Calmly, I sit back down, and start messing with a sugar packet, tearing it open and pouring it everywhere. Mixing it into different shapes.

I walk into the Payless Shoe Store, and pick up a few high heels expirementally.

I see Cori in Payless; and I hurry inside. "Hey, Cor," I say, a little embarrassed about my appearance. But I play it off like I don't care. "What's up?"

Oh wow, Smarts. You look preetty. I say drawing out the last word, and elbowing her in the ribs softly. She never wore makeup. And she had even dyed her hair. Wow. What was happening to the rebel I knew!?

I sigh, frustrated. "I am being chased by mall police, and I thought a change in my appearance would throw them off the trail." I glare at her. "This is not permanent, you hear?" I demand.

I raise my eyebrows, and breath out through my teeth. Smarts, it might have been better to just stay quiet and not tell me that. Why did she have to get in trouble? I sigh. I hated this. You already have almost been caught, this is your second strike. Your a jock, you know what that means. Why did I have to be the bad guy? Laundary duty for two weeks. I tell her, thinking that the other Fallen would be happy to know that they didn't have to do any laundary for a while.

"Whatever," I brush her punishment away like it was a pesky fly. Anything was better than the embarrassment of being caught with blond hair and makeup. I wipe at my face with the sleeve of my t-shirt.

I shoot a glare full of venom at the guy. "Some of us," I say pointedly, "Don't care about appearances. I can see you're not one of those people."

"Well, some of us try not to make judgments based off of first impressions. I can see you're not one of them," I said in a slightly mocking tone. "Besides, I didn't say you didn't look good without make-up," I tell her.
