Shopping for the fallen

When the man screams, his jaw drops, and I shoot. Perfect. A large puddle of unbelievable spicy sauce pools up in his mouth, thanks to moi. For a moment, the spice blurs his eyes. C'mon lets book it. I tell them turning and heading for the doors.

I glance nervously around. Theres a back door. I say simply hoping and wishing on my lucky star that it would lead into a deserted alley.

I smack my forehead. Crap. Um...maybe theres a main braker switch? I ask not really believing it. The crow at the doors had shed their shock, and now they were starting to storm in, and I could hear a faint siren.

Smarts you freak! I yell at her pulling her back. I grab her shoulders, and turn her around to face me. Listen, not only do the greedy Shadows want our light, the police want us in jail because we are juvenile delinquiets. Okay? So you can't go walking straight into the arms of the Po-Po unless your crazy; just like you wouldnt go running to a Shadow.

Sam your a freakin' genius. I say taking his hand in between my hand and kissing his forehead in an older sisterly way. Lets blow this baby! I shout, and hop onto the back of the grocery cart, holding it just like I would if I was just casually shopping. I grin lopsidedly, and wink at him.

Oh boy!! I yell, a light igniting in my eyes and making me glow. I wondered if they had learned how to partialy transform yet... I sure hoped they had because it would help their landing. I glow just a little bit, and beam; literally.

I squint my eyes up in anticipation.

I try to scream, but my voice gets caught in my throat. We fly past the stunned shoppers, and I light myself up, causing my to be a firey blur.

We blast through the crowd, and shoot down the street. Finally we start losing speed. Once I can speak again I yell. Once it stops, get off and run. I cry to them, and get ready to run. This should make Smarts happy, I think to myself as we slow down.

I grin, and kick off. My feet moving, burning at first, but they kept going.

Yes. I call out in reply to Smarts. I am right behind her, and my legs start feeling like jelly. She could do it, so could I. I think to myself gritting my teeth angerly. Yeah but she does this all the time. The other half of me says. I ignore both of them and listening to my body, I stretch my muscles to work ways the usually don't.
