I get to the Computer Room way ahead of him and sit down at a computer, quietly bringing up a chart with complicated equations and flashing dots moving across a grid pattern.

I casually walk in, and I see that she has already caught her breath. Did you have a nice jog? I ask her smirking rougishly. I pull up a chair next to her, and look over her shoulder, nodding like I understood it all.

"It's a tracker," I say, ignoring his comments. As I watched, one of the dots flickered and disappeared. "They know that we put tracking devices in their skin, and they are figuring out how to deactivate them."

I stare at her with my intense blue eyes. Okay? Who's them?

I leaned back in my chair. "Okay, so has anyone ever attacked or chased you before you got here?" I sighed. "Well those are Them. They're out to kill us all, extinguish all the light in the universe, simple things like that."

I snort, but when I see she isnt kidding I try to adopt a serious look. No one would be stupid enough to mess with me. I assure her flexing my muscles, causing them to bulge out of my T-shirt.

Okay, okay. I say to her, and try to focus on being intrested on the trackers, but my untrained brain just couldn't do it, so I entertained myself by trying to count her hair.

Another light flickers out. Then another. I let my breath out in a frustrated whoosh. "They are finding them. You see, sometimes we hide them under Their fingernails, or ears, or whatever. But eventually they fall out or They fine them."

I nod slowly, finally catching on. Wow. I finally say, suprised that they had placed that many trackers already.

Then it happens, like a spark, lighting up my heart, and a smalll flame beggining to flicker. I wanted to do something to help. More people is better, and with me on your side, you'll be unstoppable. I say bragging, but inwardly cursing myself for once again falling into my selfish ways. I want to help. I say quikly trying to cover up my boasting.

For the first time I think that maybe this guy has potential, just maybe. "Go out into the city. Keep your eyes open for shiny eyes, googly eyes, and people that have no idea what they are doing. Those are the star kids. Some may have been in the city longer, but they still look out of place." I sighed. "And the hideout. It needs to be updated, if Them find out where we are it will be a piece of cake for them to break in and kill us all. Maybe you can come to the junkyard sometime with me. That's where I found all these." I gestured at the computers.

I nod. Sounds good. Wanna meet up tomorrow for you to show me around? I ask her standing up from my chair.

"Sure," I say. "I'll meet you tomorrow in the kitchen for breakfast and then we'll go out into the city," I grimace a little bit. "Probably see Them, place a few trackers, or get killed. See you tomorrow."

I nod thinking that this was gonna be great. Then I head out the door, lifting the typical three fingers (thumb, pointer and middle) as a wave. Don't worry, I'm a fast learner. I say to her on my way out.
