I crossed my arms over my chest. "What, so you're just going to shoot us in the public library? And I seriously doubt you have a gun, because there are security cameras everywhere. If I scream right now, the entire library would hear. So, I'm sorry to break it to you, but it's pretty hard to stage kidnapping missions in public buildings." My expression was daring, yet controlled. Luckily the other things I was thinking weren't showing...like how scared I was. Was I going to get this other guy killed just because they were after my money? Or were they even hired by the relatives? I had no idea, weird things had been happening lately.

Well she was smart, that's just great. Hmmmm thinking thinking... I was thinking for approximently 1.92 seconds when a quick solution came to mind. Reaching into my bag I grabbed a muffing from the coffee shop and shielded her body with mine. I stuffed it into her open mouth before she could do anything. "Oh no! She is choking, we gotta get her outside." I said with fake urgency to Preston. I lead her outside with a firm grip on her shoulders. I signal to Preston to take care of the other one.

~ sorry I took so long guys, I had this long detailed beautiful post then I selected it to color it and i pressed deleat and got so frustrated I couldn't re post it until now. So there's my life long story

I gagged on muffin. Then I was being pulled towards the exit.

Massimo turned to the larger male and smiled, holding his hands up, portfolio still slung over one shoulder. He turned and walked after Alicia on his own, not so eager to be manhandled by Preston.

I lay a hand on the guys wrist to let him know who was in charge. If it came down to it, I would be in charge of him. So far, it appeared not to be necessary.

I grab the guys hands, and nod to Alice to do the same. I walk down a few alleys, and come to one that didn't totally blow you away from the smell. I lean in, and smell the man. He was almost ready.

I had been able to chew the muffin and take a few breaths in the time it took for the girl to drag me outside. It seemed to me that the guy was the leader, and she was his servant, doing his bidding. I wondered if the redhead had a plan, my mind was racing, but the only thing I could come up with one thing to do with my hands pinned behind my back. I began to scream profanities at the top of my lungs, in the process trying to wrench myself away from the servant.

Massimo gave Preston a gentle smile when he took a whiff. "I took a shower today, what's that look for?" he joked. The portfolio was still on his shoulder, pinned to his side by his arms, which were, in turn, clasped in the other man's.

Shut up. I yell above the girls cries, and smack her face. I ignore the guys question, he didn't need to know anything until the moment we were about to steal away his light and happiness.

It stings, but finally I am able to free one of my arms. I return a hard punch to the leader's face and continue screaming. Someone has got to hear sometime, right? My mind reels wildly.

I felt my stomach turn in a very odd way. I was feeling something very peculiar I could not place. I shook the feeling away quickly.

When Preston's hand reached the girl's face, Massimo, hands now freed, reached into his portfolio and retrieved the metal baseball bat. He held it firmly in his right hand as he set the canvas bag down gently in a dry spot.

"Didn't anyone teach you that locking your knees was a bad idea?" he asked as he swung the bat at the backs of Preston's knees with the aim of collapsing his legs from beneath him.

The other boy brought a bat at the leader's legs as I leaped away from the girl-servant. I could find a weapon, too. I searched the ground, settling on a rusty, twisted pipe. Then I turned to face her. "Let us go and I won't knock the daylight out of you," I hissed at her.

I grimace slightly, and force myself up breathing through my teeth. I smile at them with a crazed wild look on my face. They could not get away.
