I wanna go home

I walk into the computer room and sit down by a computer, determined to learn how to work it by myself. I hear crying from the other side of the room, and freeze. I head over, and see Melia. Rushing to her side, I wrap my arm around her, and try to comfort her. I wasnt very good at it, it was always Roxy who comforted me. Its ok. Dont cry. I tell her, and bite my tongue, how stupid did that sound.

What is it? I ask her, trying to be soothing.

I lightly cuff the side of her head. Don't lie to me. I tell her sternly, but a soft edge to my voice, my eyes smiling. I pull up a chair next to her, Whats goin on? I ask her curiously, and lean up on my fist.

I've been prepared to fall for a really long time. I tell her solemly, knowing that if I wasnt ready to fall then I would probably breaking down too. It's a little hard, I agree, but you dont have to just put on a tough face and go out and face a new world so soon. We are here to protect you until you are ready and we wont push you out of the nest early if you aren't ready, if you know what I mean. I tell her stroking her hair.

I smirk, and mentally pat my self on the back. I know. I say cockily.

Just like that? I ask her, with a puzzled look on my face. One second she was just bawling, and now she's all hyped up to leave. I shake my head. Naw, I got some work to do. I tell her, and turn back to the computer screen.
