Having a Drink.

I was wearing a pair of swim trunks, and a white tank top. I know, it wasnt the most approporiate atire to wear into a resturant but I didnt really mind. I sit down at a window seat, and watch the people outside. I tell the waitress to bring me a cup of ice tea, and I wonder again, what had driven me to this resturant.

I walk into the restaurant carefully, looking everywhere to make sure nobody was after me. As a hostess asks me how many, I reply Just on, today. She seats me at a table, and I order a Coke. I straighten out my black graphic t-shirt and bermuda shorts and look across to see a boy sitting at the table beside me. Not wanting to be rude, I look into my menu intently, pretending to be interested in the soup of the day.

I see the boy that walks in, and look at him, sizing him up. There was something about him that seeemed familiar. Maybe it was the glint in his eye, but he looked like one of us. I get up, and slide into the seat across from him. Do I know you? I ask the kid, roughly.

I put down the menu to see the kid sitting across from me now. you're not... I stop short and try to think it through. I mean, I don't think so. I'm new around here, I reply quietly, leaning in so that her can hear me, hinting him in case he was who I thought he was.

He leans closer, and that confirms it; there was definatly a sparkle in his eye. I grin and lean back, feeling very satisfyed to have determined him. Ya know who your parent star is? I ask him casually, keeping my voice hushed.

I smile brightly and say quietly, but proudly, Bellatrix of Orion. Twenty-sixth brightest in the sky. You? I ask, now excited I had at least one guy who understood me.

"Sorry to interrupt the special guy moment," I say, sliding into the booth next to the bigger one. "Move over, big guy," I say with a glint in my black eyes. "So," I beckon a waiter over, "How's life for the stars these days. But oh, I'm sorry," I look the bigger guy up and down. "You are a planetarian. But did I hear you," I look at the other boy, "Correctly when you said that your parent star was," I pause for effect, staring straight into his eyes, "Bellatrix of Orion?" I glance up as the waiter comes over. "One salad, Caesar, of course. Thank you."

I try to stay calm. but I look at him like he was crazy. What are you talking about? I exaggerate the words and try to act now as if I understood what he was saying. Oh y-yeah. That. I was just- uh- I stutter but come up with something, looking at the kid who I originally sat across from. Talking about this s-science project where we-ya know-adopt those stars. You know, those things from online from NASA and stuff? I say, praying that he would somehow buy it. We got to choose, and I chose Bellatrix from Orion.

My eyes turn hot, and I glare at the emo kid who had so politely ruined a family reunion. Yeah. Science project. We have to make a scuplture of what ever star or planet we choose.Right. I say, then I chuckle rudly. I push the kid out of my way, kicking him in the soft spot, hoping it would hurt. I turn to the other star child, Lets book it. I tell him, and shove a wrinkled $20 bill in the waitresses hand.

I glare at him with pure hatred, urging the happiness away. "I don't think you are going anywhere." It was weird, sometimes I scared myself, how much I sounded like my relatives. Relatives. Ugh.

I spin around, and meet his icy stare with one just as hot as his was cold. I thought of light, and smiles, and Junie...just like Roxy said. I drill my eyes into his. I think you just decide to mess with the wrong stars, cause your evil, stare thing; It isnt working. I tell him sharply, trying to grasp onto the feeling of warmth.

As I freeze for a precious moment, I stare up at the other star kid and whisper, He's one of Them. I try to think of something that I could do, but I simply stood up and waited to be ordered by the star child.

I smiled a little bit, looking him up and down, and then back up to his eyes. "Yeah," I say nonchalantly. "You could say that." I turned from him back to the other guy, fixing him with an icy glare.

Yeah, you could say that. I say echoing the boys words. You don't stand a chance against us, so just show us your baby fighting, and lets get outta here, kay? I ask him, leaning back on the door frame, defiantly ignoring the funny looks we were getting from the others in the resturant.

I close my eyes and shudder when I hear my name I so dearly adored spoken in such a cold, cruel way. I take a deep breath to compose myself and my starry night sky picture in my head. Lets dance, Pretty boy. I tell him, my voice challenging, and musical. Don't over exert your self, Rocket. I metally remind myself, feeling my warm thoughts melting under his cold stare.

I stare back and forth from this apparent "Rocket" to the Them boy. What should we do, Rocket? It's not worth it. I whisper to him, trying to not let the other boy hear.

Look at the guy, he's a total fake. I tell the other star boy trying to be reasurring, and playfully punch his shoulder. Then I look back and the Them boy, and wince under his harsh glare. No one cares about me; hence, I dont care about anyone. I tell him sharply, and with out a second thought. Although after the words had left my lips, I remembered Junie, and her sweet little girl smile...

OOT: oh lol shut up....i just thought it was hilarious, that's all. (not that Dev thought it was hilarious. I apologize for his evilness.)

BIC: I don't say anything for a moment. Then my face breaks into a wicked smile. I have to say, I was enjoying the theatrics. "You don't care about anyone?" My tone switches from cunning to sweet and naive. "In the whole, wide, wonderful world?"

I shrug carelessly. "Your call, man. Your call..." I trailed off and sighed. "Just be forewarned, in 3.5 seconds, three of my," I winced slightly, "Kin are going to be coming to through those kitchen doors."
