What is that??

I wander around, looking for something to ease my sense of star-homesickness. I was wearing a pair of dark blue bell bottom jeans, and a aeropostale shirt that was a little tight on my chest. My shoes squeezed my feet and made my squirm, so I kicked them off indignatly, and flung them across the room. They hit a door I hadn't looked behind with a thud, pushing it open just a sliver. I wander over, my tiny geet making no noise as I cross over to the unopened door. I pushed it open and whipped out a small sterling silver blade I kept down my shirt in case of emergencies only. Nobody was in the room, but a faint buzzing fills my ears, and a pusating light lingers at the corner of my vision. I clasp my hands over my ears, praying for the sound to stop. When I feel like I am about to burst into flame (literally) from the abnoxious sound, I twirl around, and try to punch the thing. It only buzzes louder, and I crouch in the corner afraid and confused, totally forgetting that I could just walk away.

I look up and see my sister. I hop to my feet faster than one would think possible for a chubster like my, and rush into her arms. I bury my head into her hair and a strand of mine flows into hers, looking so similar you cant tell the difference. A hot tear rolls down my plump cheek. What is that? I ask her my voice cracking and shaking with fright.

I sniffle, and look up. I will never understand my twin, although I know I should. What do they do? I ask her, coming a little closer to the machine but not totally trusting it.

My green eyes widen. Oh, I say probably sounding like a little girl.

What? I ask with a whinny voice that I had perfected over the years.

I give her a look that only a sister could give. You're crazy. I say matter-of-factly, and sit down at the computer, trying to act like I knew exactally what I was doing.

For a moment, I am startled at the sounds, but gradually, they become melodic. I sway slightly, land close my eyes. When the song ends I open my eyes, Where did you find that? I ask her too curious to be scared that it might be involved with Them.

Everywhere? I scoff sarcastically, thinking Yeah right! I walk across the room, and pick up my shoes I had so lovingly tossed. I slide the heels on, increasing my short height by at least 3 inches. How did you find out about...music? I ask her, my mouth tasting the new word like a piece of candy.

A dark look crosses my face. Let's not think about that. We were chosen to fall for a reason; because we are responsible, well you are, and we are doing fine. They aren't as smart as we are, and we have more information. I say matter-of-factly, trying to believe it my self.

They don't know who they are, how can they find us? I ask puzzled. We are supposed to find them. I say simply. I rub the back of my neck nervous, We aren't doin' too hot. I say realizing that we would be punished if we didn't find more stars, and fast.

I guess. I think I'll go to the mall this weekend, see if I can scope anyone out. I say, still looking at the computer screen, and clicking a few random icons. So, how does this work again? I ask her trying to distract myself with the new technology.

I look up at her green eyes so like mine. Show me. I demand, wanting something to do if I wasn't out lookin for stars.

I start clicking, and typing letters in, still in awe.
